Max Howell

Max Howell was born in Montgomery, AL., and raised in Prattville. Before getting into radio, Max Howell spent years on the football field playing at Troy State in 1961-62. Howell was an offensive assistant at Escambia High in Pensacola, Fla., where he coached future NFL star tailback Emmitt Smith. He was recruiting coordinator and coached safeties at Florida State in 1987-88 under Coach Bobby Bowden and was recruiting coordinator under Billy Brewer at Ole Miss in 1989-90.

He is best known as host of multiple syndicated sports radio programs across the South. He is actively involved in sports media, writing for sports publications and internet sites.
